Four-Mallet Method for Marimba

 published by Studio 4 Music

A very popular method used in colleges and high schools around the nation, this book is a complete method for the beginning four-mallet student. It is among the first 4-mallet marimba methods to include technical exercises, etudes, and literature in a logical developmental structure, all in one resource. Each of the five basic techniques is presented in a logical sequence through exercises, developmental etudes, and short repertoire. The revised edition includes new material. Recommended for college freshmen.

Four-Mallet Progressive Literature for Marimba

Four-Mallet Progressive Literature is designed to be a companion to my Four-Mallet Method for Marimba. The music selected for this text comes from guitar and keyboard literature of major composers from the 16th through 19th centuries.

Four-Mallet Progressive Literature includes 44 solos that are categorized into four different four-mallet techniques: double vertical strokes, single alternating strokes, rolls and single independent strokes. Music is presented in order of difficulty within each section to allow a logical progression of study through each stroke type.
